Yoga classes, a new stretch in the road

Have you tried out Groupon yet?

I have purchased oil changes, CVS $20 gift card for $10, and most recently....Yoga classes.

I have only personally dabbled in Yoga at home, and never in a class setting.  So I was uber excited to see if Yoga would help my neck/shoulder pain that I have had for over a year and a half.

The first class was Monday night.  It was a Hatha class.  It was easy and I didn't feel that I got much from it.

My next class is Thursday and is a Yin Flow class (excerpt taken from Sound Method Yoga...Yin Flow is not a strict Yin Style class but a fusion of Yin and Flow styles intended to open tight areas of the body through long held poses and gentle flowing movement.)  This class looks like it will help my old lady body relax and open up my problem areas..i.e. shoulders, hips, hamstrings.

I am quite new and inexperienced, so I am just literally molding myself pun intended to whatever class is available that will fit in my scheduled.

Have you tried Yoga?  What class do you find helps you the most?

Disciplined Cleaning

Earlier, I posted about Money Saving Mom's series of 4Weeks to a More Organized  Home.  Since I check out her site daily for any fantastic deals or coupons, I LOVE the reminder to get something done in my house that I wouldn't normally do daily.

Throughout her series, I have actually completed the following tasks:

Clean the woodwork trim along the floor (I actually had THE GIRL do this one)
Clean all door handles, including kitchen cabinet pulls.
Clean the ceiling fans.
Purge items

Even though I am not keeping up with the list....I am encouraged to get stuff done that I noramlly wouldn't think of doing, except during a massive cleaning.  With Money Saving Mom's list, I can do it a little bit at a time and feel like I have a MUCH cleaner house!

Still need "To Do" List:
Clean out the junk treasures from the couch cushions
Clean out silverware drawer.
Clean light switches.

Remade Watering Can

I was SUPER excited to see a CHEAP and easy way to obtain a watering can to water my newly emerging plants.

A Journey To Dream shares the tutorial on how to create your own milk jug watering can.  (I used a nail to create the holes in my lid...but my plants are outside...so I didn't need the smaller holes)

DIY for up-cycled watering can from 'a journey to a dream'

I am so excited to begin watering without tearing up the dirt in my newly planted pots!

More Organized Home

I have been feeling messy and not motivated lately.....I think it's all of the "stuff" that is accumulating in my house.

When I started reading MoneySavingMom's recent blog of "4 Weeks to a More Organized Home....I knew that this was the motivation I needed!

Check out her list and great ideas for an organized home.

**Yesterday I purged several items, cleaned out under the stairs (that's a scary thought---and used muscles that I haven't used in a while), and purged more items from the basement!  Fist pump...Yes!  I can do this....can you?
