Reused Tie holder for jewelry holder

I have been scouring garage sales for an old spice rack.  Something like this:

My thought was to find one with shelves and then add cupholder screws and hang my jewelry on it like this:

Why is it though when you are looking for something at a garage sale, thrift store, or elsewhere it is never to be found?  So discouraging. 

Then I stumbled on some tie racks....and they have movable hooks!

I screwed them to the wall above my dresser/jewelry box and now have this easy-to-access jewlry holder!

 

This works GREAT for seeing all of my necklaces and they don't get so easily tangled!
